Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Shaved Eighteen collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Shaved Eighteen’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Shaved Eighteen’s visitors use its website. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Comments and other content submitted to Akismet anti-spam service are not saved on our servers unless they were marked as false positives, in which case we store them long enough to use them to improve the service to avoid future false positives.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Media

This website may track and associate video, gallery, and post “likes/dislikes” and associate them with your account. If you upload media to the website, you should avoid uploading them with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
